APC has been the brainchild of Head Coach and owner Mark Sketchley. Resulting from his background in elite sport, Mark has continued his love for health, movement, physical challenges and coaching through the health and fitness industry. Over the last 15 years Mark has used his knowledge and skills to train athletes, weekend warriors and general gym goers to help them surpass any of their fitness goals.

Mark is using that wealth of knowledge to educate APC’s coaches. APC has created a program that utilises the power of correct breathing, teaches you how to move properly, takes you to new heights of fitness and allows you to live a life that has no physical barriers.

 

  1. The Different Classes

 

APC provides several different classes throughout the week. When you have your initial consultationwith one of the APC coaches, we will have a look at your goals and what the right combination of classes is to achieve them.

Two classes are weights based programs:

APC Performanceis the only session that is solely on the gym floor, we program for strength and hypertrophy in 8-12 week blocks; and

APC Redzoneis performed both in and out of the altitude chamber and incorporates HIIT, cardio and cross fit style sessions.

APC Movementis run both in and out of the altitude chamber. It is a combination of yoga and Pilates and helps create a powerful balance between strength and flexibility. It is one of the staples of any client’s APC program.

Our final session that we offer is APC Cycle. These classes are solely in the altitude chamber and are designed to give our clients an unfair competitive advantage - legally. You will get fitter, faster and seriously improve power, speed, endurance and strength on the bike.

 

  1. Class Sizes

 

APC sessions are capped at 8 people per class. We believe that training in a small group of people that have similar goals, motivates you to a higher level of performance and greatly improves your results compared to training on your own.

Capping the groups at 8 people allows the coach to stay in control of every aspect of the session. The coach has room and time to focus on your form and execution of the prescribed exercises, understands the level of exertion that the client can get to and can truly motivate the group to ensure a high quality session every time. The small group sizes also allow the coach to understand each individual’s goals and needs, so that all of our clients walk away from a session being one step closer to achieving their goal.

 

  1. Its Cost Effective

 

APC’s class pass and memberships start from $20 and go up to unlimited weekly sessions for only $65. The classes are completely unique, the staff are highly qualified, we understand the process of how to get you to your fitness goals and you can get an unlimited membership all for less than the price of a single PT session.

APC is a studio genuinely there to help its members get fitter, stronger and healthier. All in all it is a small price to pay for an unrivalled experience and a healthy balanced approach to life.

 

  1. Altitude Chamber

Last but not least is our altitude chamber. It is a tool that we use in our programming that will take your training to completely new heights (pun intended!). Training at altitude has been scientifically proven to trigger a range of physiological responses not achievable in normal training programs. These physiological adaptions include enhanced fat metabolism, boosted production of red blood cells and capillaries and a strengthened immune system, and can lead to significant improvements in performance, health and fitness.
